+Plasma Boy
When you pick up or drop a travel bug at a cache location, is it proper etiquette to note in the online cache log that you "Picked up XYZ Travel Bug" or "Dropped XYZ Travel Bug" or "Discovered XYZ Travel Bug"? Quote Link to comment
+BlueDeuce
Some people think you should every time, I typically never do. Just don't post the tracking number, use the name or the reference number located in the upper left corner of the bug page. Quote Link to comment
+TotemLake
A lot of people sure are mistaking this for anything but the Geocaching.com Web Site forum lately. This topic should go either in the Geocaching Topics or more appropriately in the The Travelbug Forum. Quote Link to comment
Keystone
I am moving this thread from the Geocaching.com Web Site forum to the Travel Bug forum. Quote Link to comment

I do. It helps leave a paper trail for the traveler, IMO. I typically only note that I picked up a TB or swapped coins or something. You don't have to say anything particularly about the traveler (that would be more appropriate on the traveler's page when you log the pick up). As a cache owner, I like to have an idea of what travelers are being moved in and out of my cache and when that occurs. Sometimes people forget to log their retrieval of a traveler until they go to drop it off, so it serves as sort of a back up. But obviously, it's your call as to how you want to play the game. +powercatjeffy
I'm one of those people that think it should be done. I mention it in the log at the cache and in my .com log. I've used this information to help track down missing TBs. No, I don't think it's necessary to do, but I do think that it is a common courtesy that should be afforded to the TB owner.
