+Red Halibut
First of all, a cartoon: Secondly, a link to calculate the daily Geohash spot. http://irc.peeron.com/xkcd/map/ In essence this involves a variable (the date and the Dow Jones Opening), an MD5 hash, and a position within a one degree by one degree rectangle. There is a lot of talk over at xkcd about doing this (meet up at the appointed place at 4pm local time). I wondered if anyone here was either a) aware of it and thinking it might make a change from the norm. Quote Link to comment

I was actually coming back over here to see if anyone had posted this, yet... predictably, someone had... ;-) They even have a Wiki to answer questions about it. (Of course, searching these forums for xkcd is even more entertaining... seem to be a few fans here... and vice versa) Quote Link to comment
+gfmech
This comic is actually the very thing that led me to geocaching. I wish I'd have known earlier, it's so much fun. Quote Link to comment
