+NMS68 Posted May 21, 2008 Share Posted May 21, 2008 I just noticed when I checked my profile to see the list of geocoins I have seen that some of the geocoin icons (gif-images) are missing. Most of the coin symbols are ok, but not all. The geocoins missing their symbols seems to be recently published. For example this file http://www.geocaching.com/images/WptTypes/1761.gif seem to be missing. There are some others as well: http://www.geocaching.com/images/WptTypes/1648.gif http://www.geocaching.com/images/WptTypes/1615.gif http://www.geocaching.com/images/WptTypes/1616.gif http://www.geocaching.com/images/WptTypes/1666.gif http://www.geocaching.com/images/WptTypes/1771.gif http://www.geocaching.com/images/WptTypes/1802.gif If the gif number is lower than about 1600 everything seems to be ok. If you try any of those URLs directly you get "Sorry! We encountered an error when requesting that page!" message. Link to comment

This time it is the symbol for HAM Radio Geocoins (http://www.geocaching.com/images/WptTypes/776.gif). Since nobody owns any of these, probably not a big deal. There is at least one cacher who owns one: Team McBink. I found one of their travel bugs and checked their profile. That's why I noticed. I agree, not a big deal, but worth reporting anyway. I agree, not a big deal, but worth reporting anyway. Yes, have seen this issue too. (and a couple of those coins as well.) For example the last page (11) of the cache search below, looks a bit odd with the missing icon, that used to work before. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.asp...5&dist=3.14 Edit: At the time of writing there were two caches with a Ham Radio coin in the inventory on that search page, now there is still one left. +Flatouts Posted June 21, 2008 Share Posted June 21, 2008 Not sure if this is the same exact issue or not but the 2007 FGA Compass Geocoin has an icon when you look at it individually but not in the list under my profile in quick view. Well, this is where it's hard to explain - when I say my profile I mean Quick View - because when you look at it in my profile under trackables it's there... When you look at in under it's page it's there.., But when I look at it in Quick View on my list it's not, I just see the wooden generic. This is obviously No Big Deal, but it probably does this to all that have it (it's a pretty popular coin in my neck of the woods). 2007 Florida Geocachers Association Geocoin (Logwalker).
