+BigFurryMonster Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 I have a pocket query file, which is of the GPX type. I want to convert this to a TXT file for easy upload onto my mobile phone. Is there an easy way to convert it? I'm looking to include the entire description, of course. I tried this with a program called GPS Babel, but it does not understand special symbols such as the degree symbol (which, unsurprisingly, turns up a lot in cache descriptions). Anyone has a suggestion? Quote
+Nachtraaf Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Maybe you can try ITConv. Read more on my blog. Regards, Hans Quote
+BigFurryMonster Posted May 19, 2008 Author Posted May 19, 2008 Maybe you can try ITConv. This one unfortunately does not have .txt as output option. Try http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/convert This one gives me TXT, but it ignores the hard returns, so I get one big blob of text. Or perhaps I'm missing something... Quote

+PDOP's Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Also have a look at http://www.gpsbabel.org/. If you don't like command lines it has a GUI too. Quote
