+coggins Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 (edited) Garmin says in their 2.0.0.4 beta release that you can now edit individual points in tracks, but I am unable to work out how to do this I've tried various key combo. Any clues? Well, what I found was that if you zoom into a track and use the arrow tool to select one of the points in the track, you can drag that point to a new location. gallet Posted May 16, 2008 Author Posted May 16, 2008 That's strange because I can't select points, only the track. And I am using 2.0.04 http://screencast.com/t/SReTzECZ Quote
+Chuy! Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 I'm not reading the same thing your are. Bobcat. It says Bobcat allows one to, "transfer waypoints, tracks, and routes between your Mac and Garmin device and manage your data using your Garmin maps." Is there another link I'm missing? Quote
+coggins Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 No, it's not working as I described above. It turns out that I had two white tracks on a white background and the "drag" switched tracks that were overlapped. Quote
gallet Posted May 16, 2008 Author Posted May 16, 2008 @'Chuy! Check out the version history. http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=3886 # Added ability to select track points on the map # Added ability to delete track points # Added ability to join tracks Quote
gallet Posted May 16, 2008 Author Posted May 16, 2008 Just heard back from Garmin. Double click the track which will highlight the point in the info editor and it can be deleted. Cmd + i brings up the info palette. I'm still waiting to find out how to join tracks Quote
+Chuy! Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 @'Chuy! Check out the version history. http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=3886 # Added ability to select track points on the map # Added ability to delete track points # Added ability to join tracks Saw that. When you said "...you can now edit individual points in tracks..." I was thinking you meant you could edit individual points, as in changing the coordinates of the point. I know don't think that's what you meant. You seem to be referring to the general editing of tracks. MapSource added this feature a few upgrades ago. Sounds like Bobcat is just now adding this feature for Mac users. Editing the coordinates on a track point would be neat; you can do it in Google Earth; maybe some day the feature will be added into MapSource. Quote
gallet Posted May 17, 2008 Author Posted May 17, 2008 (edited) Sounds like Bobcat is just now adding this feature for Mac users. Well it says it's there in the update notes, but it's not implemented yet. Edited May 17, 2008 by gallet Quote
