Removing TBs/Coins from cache

Have just taken over (adopted) a number of caches as the original placer is leaving the area.

 

One of the caches was muggled (GONE) but has two TBs (coins) logged in it.

 

I have a new cache all ready to replace the "muggled" one but how do I get the two TBs out of the orignal cache if you know what I mean.

 

Have e-mailed the owners of the TBs but have had no response from them.

Got to the TB page, top right corner, underneath "Trackable Item Options" there's a drop-down box which says "Mark Item Missing".... Just press GO. Then it asks you to "Confirm" you want to mark it missing. Do so... voila! It's gone to "unknown location", a sort of TB limbo... but at least it's off your cache page.

I didn't know that either.

Surely that's a bit of a glitch in the system.

Looks like the tracking number is not required to 'write a note' - just leave the box blank.
