cache group?

This has been brought up in the past (repeatedly for a few years, actually) and the general consensus of the Very Influential was that it was much more fun to meet randomly and without an agenda than it would be to start an actual WSGA chapter

I am sure that a motivated individual, who wanted to start a chapter at the southern edge, would be able to easily get people involved after taking the first few steps.

Anyone interested in meeting up and discussing caching in the southsound?

Define Southsound. Seriously - those of us here on the Peninsula get lumped in both South, and West, depending on who is doing the lumping.

I'd love to meet up now and again in a slightly less party atmosphere to chat on caching - at the Fling I had a very nice discussion with GreenXandHam about how to read cache pages and logs and try to discern whether the cache was worth doing.

If the meetings were to alternate between north of the bridge and south of the bridge I would be interested. Always south of the bridge is pretty much like always in Seattle.

As I am reading the posts, I am envisioning the group encoumpasing Kitsap, Pierce, Mason and Thurston Counties. Of course some extreme outer area might not be interested, such as Port Gamble or Eatonville. at the same time some in Southern King might. Just putting lines out to have lines. Meetings DEFINATELY should roatate throught the area, espcially w/ $4 gall gas (Silverdale, Tacoma, Oly). As of right now it is just in the infantcy planning stages, and I'm woundering what I got myself into. Open to any and all feedback.

Dougie clan no yard here live in aptment no cabana either or should i just give thomas brothe page no and grids? :) Thats why I can geocache, I dont have a lawn to mow or weed ect ect, (no maintainance). I guess that kinda make my yard as big as the car takes me.

With a yard that big, you should have plenty of room for the initial event. ;)

Well, any events in the Pierce County my family would attend. I usually don't attend the meetings in Redmond because it is too far to drive with 2 small children. As for the rest of the area you had in mind, it would depend on the date and time. Got to be home by bed time ya know.

The "south Sound Group" with have an organizational meeting on Sat June 28. Time and location TBD. Looking at late morning early afternoon and running for an hour or so. Focus of the meeting will be to Get a focus of the group, see if there is indeed an intrest. and who knows what else shall pop up. Most likely it will be in the Tacoma area, my idea, my backyard.
