How to get rid of a TB you lost?

I had a Diabetes travel bug with me when traveling overseas. Unfortunately I lost it, I do not know if it was stolen or what happened, but I do not have it any more. However, the TB is still logged as me having it.

I have sent the owner a message to archive it, but have not had any reply. What should I do? I do not want just to drop it somewhere else just to get rid of it.

The Unite For Diabetes are owned by the Unite For Diabetes Foundation, but I don't think emails about them go to them. If it were a regular cacher owned TB, you can ask the owner. Or the cache owner if it's missing from a cache. If one goes missing from your own cache, you can mark it missing.

A lost TB can be burried in a TB graveyard, such as this one:

We don't need the graveyards anymore. They were in place before the mark missing option was put in place. Now they are just marked missing so no false mileage is added.
