+powercatjeffy
I was just browsing through itsnotaboutthenumbers.com and I came across one of the most found caches in their database. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=GCGV0P Coincidentally, today is the day that geocaching began. The above cache details the first cache. It's hard to believe it's 8 years old. Quote Link to comment
+The Leprechauns
I made the pilgrimage to the Original Stash site last summer. It was a bit more memorable than the average roadside park and grab, because it was the *first* roadside park and grab. I always try to find a cache on the anniversary of geocaching. Otherwise, it would be like not going to church on Christmas. Today I found a terrain 3 multicache called "F is for Freedom," along with five other nearby caches, to celebrate the day. I like the freedom that geocaching gives me to travel around, discovering new places. It seemed like the appropriate cache to visit. Quote Link to comment
+NeoAddict
I placed 3 caches today in honor of May 3rd! (I also found one... ;D ) Happy 8th Birthday Geocaching! Quote Link to comment
+hukilaulau
I placed this one on May 1st in honor of the day the game became possible. Initially it was not a multi, all you knew was that it was within 323 feet of GZ, but the reviewer wouldn't approve it that way. I saw another one done that way up around Boston on the 5th anniversary. (I couldn't find it!) Quote Link to comment
+ThePetersTrio
There was a lovely celebration event yesterday just down the road from the plaque. A good time was had by all. There was even a well preserved can of beans on display in a custom carrying case (which I think was placed in the original stash as a trade item). Quote Link to comment

I thought that thing was sitting in someone's closet, never to be seen again. Quote Link to comment

There is also the similarly themed Magellan ON (GCZC77) cache nearby. Quote Link to comment

I never knew that you were one of the ones to "help" make the Robinson Town Center. It does have a great view when you get there. And i'm surprised that you've never seen that type of container Quote Link to comment
