Can someone tell me how to transfer waypoints/geocaches to the sd card instead. Everytime the software loads the waypoints to the units memory instead. The unit can see the memory card when i go to format screen or view screen.

There's no way around this right now for the Triton.

 

It can not read waypoints and geocaches directly from the SD on the Triton like you could the previous Magellan units.

 

The only way the Triton can read waypoints and geocaches if you have to snych them to the Triton using VantagePoint software, then it will place the waypoints and geocahces in the memory of the Triton. The SD card right now can only read maps directly into the Triton.

Thx so much for that information. So far I am becoming a little disappointed in the Triton. Can you answer me one more question? I can't find detailed streets software for it. Do you know where I can?

There is no mapping specific for the Triton.

 

You have to find and buy a Magellan Mapsend product for the Magellan Explorist & import them into the Triton. Magellan right now does not sell Mapsend USA maps, you'll have to find a 3rd party vendor. The good news, it's easy to find a 3rd vendor with the mapping. If you do get the Mapsend mapping, there is quite a number of steps to make them capable with the Triton but they can work.

Topo 3D US works fine with the triton and the National Geo Topo! Maps are fully supported.
