different colors

Just a little lay-out idea:

The stars above of a cache that indicate the Difficulty and Terrain of a cache could be even more appropriate if they turned from green to yellow to orange to red - according to the difficulty (= amount of stars).

To make it more specific:

If a terrain is supposed to be easy - there is now one red star. I think it would make it more visual if that star was green.

If a terain is supposed to be hard, the filled stars could be red.

Suggestion:

1 filled star = dark-green

2 filled star = light-green

3 filled star = yellow

4 filled star = orange

5 filled star = red

I've always wondered if you could fill in the legs of a single star.

*/* would be the format.

1 would be The top of the star solid the rest hollow. 2 would be the top and first leg on the right (clockwise) etc. 5 Stars would be a fully filled in star.

Works for the color blind, takes up less page space, works on B/W printers.

Idea blatantly stolen from Panzer General.

It might be OK for terrain, but you need to reverse the colors for difficulty:

1 filled star = red - cache is easy to find like a red flag

2 filled stars = orange - cache shows up against the background like an orange safety vest

3 filled stars = yellow - cache is different color than the background but may blend in

4 filled stars = light-green - cache is a different shade than the background

5 filled stars = dark-green (or camo) - cache is same as background and therefore difficult to find

Nice idea that would take 30 seconds to do. Really the hard part is just taking every images and colorize them then overwrite the files, that's it, no coding required.

This must be a hard decision. It is at the complete bottom on the priority list but on the other hand, only takes a minute to do so I don't know how you deal with that. In fact I would know but I'm not concerned. :o
