+geo-houndz Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 (edited) Own an explorist 500. Loads loc files for geocaches. No hints, logs or cache descriptions come with loc. Apparantly GPX file do, can I get GPX on my exp-500? If so, how do it do it? Edited April 30, 2008 by geo-houndz Quote
sanramonhunter Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Yes you can by using either Magellan's Geocache manager or Vantagepoint, or GSAK. You will get the following info: Cache Type, Difficutly, Terrain, Cache name, Cache Owner, and Hint. The hint is limited to some number of character I'll say 30 off the top of my head. You won't get Description or past logs. For that you'll need a PDA or a Triton.(or Colorado or PN-20) Quote
+rangermaples Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I have a 500 also. I go to "Build Pocket Queries" on the geocaching website. Set up my query and have it emailed to me. I then downloaded it into a cache manager, I use GSAK, and then I have the info I need on the unit. I don't get the hints but most of the other info is there. Quote
