+jo2174
I am new to geocaching. every time I try to put in coordinates, the last 3 digits aren't what I put in. Am I doing something wrong or is my GPS on the wrong format? the formats in my gps are h ddd* mm ss.s" h ddd* mm.mmmm' h ddd.ddddd* british national grid What should it be set for Quote Link to comment
+Airmapper
h ddd* mm.mmmm' is the one to go for. You'll only need to go 3 places past the decimal, use a zero for the 4th. As in h ddd* mm.mmm. What GPS is it? If it is a common brand someone here can probably tell you step by step how to plug in your coords. Quote Link to comment

Can you clarify that last part I highlighted.... Do you mean that you never have the chance to put them in - or that when you view the coordinates later it no longer matches what you put in?? +imajeep
Also, what type of GPS are you using. Most let you connect to a PC and download coordinates, rather than typing them in. Quote Link to comment
