AZ MorMor
I received a UN for Diabetes Travel Bug last year, but didn't do anything with it until yesterday. On Geocaching.com, I entered the letters on the bug and found out it is owned by the UN and its task is to educate people in the Phillipines. I indicated that I had discovered it, and a page was set up for it, plus my account page indicates that I discovered it. However it does not appear in my inventory. Today I found a cache, a bed and breakfast for TBs, and left it there to start its journey. When I logged my visit, I indicated that I had left the TB, but I don't see how to get that information recorded for the TB when my inventory shows no TB. HELP. Quote Link to comment
+luckybobb
If I remember how these worked these came already registered to them and what you had to do is "Grab" it from them and at that point it will show up in your inventory. Quote Link to comment
+BlueDeuce
As this is a gc.com sponsored promotion the travel bug is already activated. You just 'grab' the bug to put it into your inventory. Simply access this page http://www.geocaching.com/track/ Enter in the tracking code printed on the tag. Access the bug page and under type of log select “Grab it” to put it into your inventory. +Pegasi
Discovering Travel Bugs does not add them to your count. They will not show up in your inventory. On the other hand, discovering Geocoins does add the Icon to your list and does add them to your inventory. I am slightly obsessed and log all of my found, grabbed, discovered TBs and coins in a separate GSAK database. I noticed this one evening when I discovered a few bugs and posted notes to let their owners know they were okay. Quote Link to comment
