MessyKaraoke Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 I just discovered geocaching and am researching gps units. I have a Magellan RoadMate 2200T that can be upgraded for outdoor use. Has anyone tried using this unit for geocaching? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am eager to get started! Thanks! Quote

sanramonhunter Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 Don't know if you were aware but right now Magellan will update your unit to a Crossover for free when you buy the new Version 2 maps for the unit. So for about $100 after shipping and taxes you get the newest maps plus the crossover upgrade. Quote
MessyKaraoke Posted April 26, 2008 Author Posted April 26, 2008 (edited) Thanks for all the help! I've got the upgrade and hopefully I am on my way to successful geocaching! Got another question: I have been reading previous posts about how to download caches onto Crossover. Any chance info can be downloaded with USB cable instead of SD card? Thanks!
