Time for a forum boycott?

It'd send a message, I suppose?

If you think this is a good idea, please don't post below :drama:

If you think it's a bad idea, please say why below, but note I'll not respond to it for a while*

*How long depends on the quality of the arguments against a boycott. :D

Wouldn't that only hurt us, not Groundspeak?

I'd vote for non-renewal of premium membership. I only pay it to contribute to the game I enjoy as I'd not miss pocket queries.

Edited to add: I suggest we keep drawing it to the attention of the main US forum.

I'll get in there from the beginning...

What would it achieve? This forum is meant to be about geocaching...? We might disagree how the heavy hand of the rules has been applied but I don't think we've been in any ignorance what the forums exist for.

A new forum - whilst letting us talk about GC related charities etc - will still have to be moderated, paid for, hosted etc. I created a forum TONIGHT thinking it was the right thing to do. But.... can I be bothered if there technical issues, the site runs out of bandwidth, its down etc. Geocaching is a hobby! At least, at the moment, Groundspeak have the responsibility of maintaining servers and keeping them up and running and not one of 'our mates' within the geocaching fraternity.

It dosn't have to link

It seems it already exists.... I think it could get busy! :P

but isn't having an event at a pub and not being able to name the pub heavy handed

think of two people discussing a venue

lets have the event at N54 56.567 W001 06.568

what pub is that?

I can't tell you I can't mention the name

how comical is that

I'm sorry but I'm closing this topic down :P as it's not a suitable topic to be discussed in this forum. Please take it to a Non Groundspeak forum if you wish to continue discussing things.
