ciscoguy Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 I am going to be holding an 888 event in Utah. Do people like event coins? How collectable are they? Here is the image of the coin I am considering have a pre-sale to sell these to people out of state. Would out of state people buy these? What is your honest opinion. Plus this is my first Geocoin that I am having done. ciscoguy Quote
GPX Navigators Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Would out of state people buy these?: It's an event coin. Of course I would buy it. What is your honest opinion: I like it. Cool design. It's an event coin. Last year there were 7/7/7 events and coins to go with. You might be starting something for this year. Though 8/8 is during MWGB, but for those not going, you never know. Good luck with it and will keep an eye out for these. Quote
AtlantaGal Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 (edited) There are several of us who will be hosting the same event in various locations around the US and having a joint coin also. We also did the 7/7/2007 event too. If you're not married to that particular design, maybe you should join up with us. Edited April 23, 2008 by AtlantaGal Quote
Fastest Turtle Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 I think the coin is outstanding ! You should go with it ! Quote
Droo Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 I have 3 pages of event coins but am kinda picky about the designs. This one is just too simple for my tastes but I'm sure it'll do well. Good luck with your first coin and may your event be a great success too. Quote
ciscoguy Posted April 24, 2008 Author Posted April 24, 2008 Thanks for the input. I appreciate it. This coin will sell for $7.00 and is currently being minted. If anyone would like one, please let me know. Quote

pghlooking Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 (edited) I could be wrong but, I thought the group that did the 777 coins were putting this together again this year for the 888 event and coin. Nevermind. I see someone already said this in the other thread about this coin.. Edited April 27, 2008 by pghlooking Quote
