Source_GPS
I was curious whether the Colorado 300 has the 3D option when using maps that have that data in it? I am using a Colorado 400t, but if someone had a 300 and loaded the Topo 2008 data onto an SD card, will the 300 give the option to show that 3D detail like the 400t does? Quote Link to comment
+g-o-cashers
As long as the map data supports a high enough resolution DEM (not sure exactly what the limit is) the 300 will work the same was the 400t. Therefore a 300 running Topo2008 from DVD will display 3D mode, it will not support 3D mode on its own basemap which doesn't have high enough DEM resolution to support 3D view. sokolo0
No problem. Colorado 300 + Topo Slovakia 3D view, map view on 3rd screenshot: When you activate 3D on non3D map, you have some kind of perspective view, and it is possible to change the angle of view: Christopher Edited April 21, 2008 by sokolo0 Quote Link to comment
Source_GPS
Thank you everyone for the replies and screenshots - very intuitive. I also understand that City Nav supports some DEM. It's nice to know the 300 supports it. Quote Link to comment
