+Mad H@ter
The fifth Dreaming Spires Cache Bash 08 has now been published and will be held at Sturdy's Castle a few miles north of Oxford. The weather has been booked (not telling what sort though ) and we have plans for a new ring of caches centred on the pub. As has become customary at our annual Cache Bash, Muddy Legs (aka Sue) is organising a raffle again in aid of Dogs for the Disabled, so if you have any prizes (especially wacky or Geocaching related) that you would like to donate please do get in touch. If you plan to attend could you please make your intentions known on the event listing page. If you would like to make this an opportunity to visit Oxfordshire and its abundance of caches, why not make a weekend (or more) of it at Let's Go camping In Oxfordshire Quote Link to comment

+Mad H@ter
We are now in the final throws of preparation for this event as we are off to the camping event near Banbury on Wednesday morning. It's looking like we are going to have a great crowd so we are really looking forward to it . We have placed a ring of 12 new caches starting at Sturdys Castle. This is a family friendly walk (although you may have to lift buggy's over stiles/gates) of about 4 to 5 miles and not one micro in sight (sorry micro lovers ). The details will be released at midnight Saturday, via printouts available at the camping event or on-line when our overworked reviewer gets the time to release them. We have loads of prizes for the r****e which Sue (aka Muddy Legs) is now trying to sort out, many thanks for all of the generous donations. Quote Link to comment
+HazelS
Would it not be better to release at midnight on Friday? People who have to travel back home prob won't have time for a 5 mile walk between packing up and all that....???????? Pretty please???? Quote Link to comment

There are a further 11 which are being released on the Friday evening at the Lets Go Camping In Oxfordshire event in the Claydon / Cropredy area. The 12 at Sturdys Castle are being released to coincide with the Dreaming Spires event at Sturdys Castle and hence the release time being Sunday. If you are really keen to get FTFs you could set off at midnight for a bit of night caching Quote Link to comment

+The Cache Hoppers
I'm not bringing any children with me to this one ... apart from a couple of bigger ones on the Saturday evening - they won't be on site during the day as they are going on a university tour. Quote Link to comment

+Lydford Locators
Sue - sounds great to us. If we can all shift the colds that are currently residing at our house - there will be 2 Junior Locators with us (9 year old girl and 8 year old boy). Looking forward to seeing everyone again this year. Quote Link to comment
+The Flying Boots
What a co-incidence that a coach trip to Oxford is being organized and run from our village on this Saturday so we'll be caching nearby but probably won't get the chance to pop up to the event.
