City Navigator NT 2009 Update ?

Any previous version of NT will suffice. It does not need to be 2008. Non-NT versions will not.

The viewer is not online yet. Normally, they update roads as they come along. Whether or not you see much difference depends on the development in your area and how fast the changes get to the maps.

Just a quick question -- I have a Garmin 76CSx. Am I better off with the plain City Navigator (2008) disc. or should I purchase the City Navigator NT (2008) disc. Any pro's or con's?

I already have the Garmin TOPO 2008 loaded, but I want to be able to navigate on roads and within towns.

Please let me have your thoughts. Thanks.

Of the 2008 Version, NT takes up about 65 or so segments and just under a gig of space. Non-NT is about 1.6 gigs and a few hundred segments. Some people say it loads slower, but I could not tell the difference.

NT "seems" to be the mapset of choice and has more support.

I moved from CitySelect v7 to CityNavigator NT 2008. I got the NT version because the entire US/Canada/Puerto Rico map fits on a 1GB card. I've been told that, after the update to CN 2009, that will no longer be the case. No matter. I have a 2GB card. I don't have any issues with the drawing speed. I use the 76CSx.
