+TxCachePotatoes Posted August 17, 2008 Share Posted August 17, 2008 My 4 piece set arrived today. Just my opinion, but I'm somewhat disappointed in the LE. The black color is a bit overpowering and the gold too thin... really loses the detail. The front of the coin looks pretty nice, but the back of the coin (when held at an angle) appears to be entirely covered in a clear epoxy that spoils the reliefs that are so nicely done on the front side of the coin. The 3 regular coins have details much more easily seen i.m.o. I know A&E went through all sorts of trouble with this one, so it's no big deal to me. They tossed in a little "thank you" bonus goodie with the order. I've ALWAYS had good experiences with their customer service and products, so one dud won't throw my world off it's axis.
