+applewomyn Posted April 10, 2008 Share Posted April 10, 2008 Hello kiwis! I am departing Atlanta, GA tomorrow morning in route for Christchurch NZ - YAY! This is my 4th or 5th trip to NZ, but my FIRST since discovering geocaching in 2006. I'll be picking up my first non-US cache and celebrating by dropping a number of the geocoins I've designed in caches throughout the area. My visit will be spent mostly in Christchurch though I will be making a 3 day trip to Queenstown. I would love to know if there are any upcoming events in the area that I might attend while I'm there - I would love to meet some fellow geocachers while I'm in town! There's a current thread here http://forums.gps.org.nz/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4002 on caches around Queenstown that may be of interest, and a list of upcoming event caches around the country here http://forums.gps.org.nz/viewtopic.php?f=3...52&start=60, but I don't think any are planned for Q'town at present.
