Is the only difference between the two the fact that the 400t comes preloaded with TOPO US 2008 and the 300 doesn't?

Thanks for the info...That is everything i have been looking for.

I went with the 400t and it will be here on Tur..The 60CSx sould be knocking at my door within the nex hour.. Now i will have the best of both worlds and my wife will have one of her own...

I called Garmin today and the biggest deciding factor for me between the 300-400t, was that you will not be able to fit all of topo 2008 directly onto the 300...Thats why i went with the 400t becuse i know it will always be on there...

You can put it in. Took me a few tries at about 17 - 20 hours each. Problem is you can only view a little over 4000 map segments. The whole Topo US 2008 map file is over 5000 map segments and 3gb.
