+EARTHQUAKE5683
Hello, I will be going to Elmendorf in May and staying at the contingency barracks. I was wondering if someone had an address or cords to the barracks themselves that they can send to me. I will more than likely be on-foot so I need to plan out some caches. Thanks Earthquake5683 Quote Link to comment
+Prying Pandora
You may get a quicker response if you post this on the Alaska Geocaching site. A great many of the members are in the Anchorage area and they're a really nice bunch up there. Quote Link to comment
+CACHE KRAWLER
99506 will get you pretty dadgum close. That's the Elmendorf Post Office zip code. Good luck! Quote Link to comment
+Criminal
This is a chart from Falcon View. I’m not sure where the barracks are exactly, but the two buildings above the red dot look like barracks to me. The coordinates for the dot are below. Quote Link to comment
+The Jester
I'm sure there must be some sort of public transportation that you can use to get towards town. To help here's the GC map/caches by the AFB: click here. Quote Link to comment
+scobey
I don't know where that barracks would be. The Muni has bus service that covers the whole town but not Elmendorf. There are stops near the main gate and the Government Hill gate. The website is here:People Mover But better still is hooking up with fellow cachers. Drop into our forum and give some datres and I'm sure someone would be willing to take you caching with them. http://geocachealaska.proboards81.com Edited April 11, 2008 by scobey Quote Link to comment

I can't wait to get there and get some stateside caches done. With a limited number of caches here in Okianwa you don't want to knock them all out with a year left and have no more caches to do so this will be something new. I'm excited. Plus I get to move some GC/TB's stateside to help them with there missions. See ya in the cachin world! Joe Quote Link to comment
