+TotemLake
Second Life, as in Get A Life? Funny, many people say that about geocachers and geocaching. It is a life... just not one that some folks can wrap their minds around. Quote Link to comment
+Sileny Jizda
Just found that the other day in Second Life. Looks interesting when we're not looking for the real thing. Quote Link to comment
+simpjkee
Yeah one of the things that got me in to geocaching was that it got me off the couch and the PS2 and thrust me in to the real world. This is obviously a huge step backward for me. Edited April 8, 2008 by simpjkee Quote Link to comment
+Zolgar
I'll take Waymarking .. I mean. "Badge Hunting" in City of Heroes any day Quote Link to comment
+DareGuy
I know some folks who are unable, due to physical impairments or other issues, to get out and experience real world geocaching. Second Life geocaching looks like a nice alternative for them to examine. Not my thing, but I am blest to be able to get out and move around. I just hadn't taken advantage of those blessings like I should have... As simpjkee said, geocaching got me moving. I have found ti to be fun "exercise", a word I would frequently cringe at normally. +blackoakred
I have tried Second Life, but I just can't get interested in it. For those who do enjoy it and geocaching, why not combine the two. Quote Link to comment
J.A.R.S.
I am interested in other players thoughts on this version of caching. Personally geocaching in SL was the best thing about Second Life for me. I got bored with just flying around. Looking for caches gave me something to do. I eventually gave up on SL because it kept freezing up my computer. Also, I thought I heard that there was a problem with SLgeocaching - the boxes kept being returned by the owners of the land. Quote Link to comment
+NotThePainter
Also, I thought I heard that there was a problem with SLgeocaching - the boxes kept being returned by the owners of the land. Imagine that, cache hides placing caches on land without getting permision from the owners? :- ) BTW, I can host a cache on my land, email me if you want to set it up. Paul Quote Link to comment
