sskaysee
We are headed to Kauai in May and, of course, would like to do some geocaching while there..... So what are the must do caches? Off-Topic - any one done the Backcountry or Princeville Ranch Ziplines? If so, please let us know your thoughts..... Thank you! SSKaysee Memphis, TN Quote Link to comment
Green Achers
Send me a ticket and I'll show you around. Blueroom is near the parking area for the most enjoyable snorkeling that we found. Unless you're staying on this side of the island, you'd likely not drive to this dead end. The hike along the coast cliffs/rain forest (to Hanakapiai Falls) was a memory I always cherish. I didn't make it all the way due to time limits but you can make it. Don't forget to send that ticket. OK?! Oh, Almost forgot to give my Hawaiian advise... Don't take any Travel Bugs (unless it's in their mission goals) and Do collect as many TB's as you find. Reason: Everyone plans their trip by taking bugs to Hawaii but no one has room to take them home. They get trapped there so it's a good thing to do this otherwise shameless act. +Dave_W6DPS
Here are my favorites on that island: A really nice place to visit. Spouting Horn An easy drive up a beautiful canyon, and a short walk. Well worth it! Koke'e Nature Walk The drive to this one is very rough, but the location is beautiful. I performed a wedding on the beach there. Polihole Have a great trip! +Green Achers
We using Northwest / Hawaiian, but the way things are going....... Then you're set. The only problem will be that you're going to pay a higher rate for my ticket. Maybe you don't need to make it First Class. Quote Link to comment

Wolf Grrl
Aloha~ Definitely Spouting Horn! That is a beautiful spot for a cache. I recommend JoJo's Shaved Ice. We tried several locations for shaved ice and JoJo's was the best! It is on your way to Waimea Canyon (Kauai's Grand Canyon). That place is gorgeous! We did not zip line but we did ATV and tube the irrigation canals. If you are interested let me know and I can give you the company names. Also Queen's Bath! We had the most fun swimming in a lesser known spot. There is a cache there too but it got too dark for us by the time we went to find it. Enjoy! Pomaika'i (Good Luck) Quote Link to comment
sskaysee
Thanks for the second to Spouting Horn - We finally leave Saturday and can't wait!!!! Quote Link to comment
Mostly Moose
Thanks for the second to Spouting Horn - We finally leave Saturday and can't wait!!!! I could not find neither Spouting Horn nor Blueroom as I lacked hints for those. Make sure you bring the hints. Some memorable caches I can recommend are * MFTC (great view) * Red dirt (very red dirt and nice view * Whale watching at Ninini point (probably no whales now but worth the walk anyway for planespotting and the lighthouse) * Anini beach cache - not really on the beach, but my favorite in Kaua'i. Have fun! M.M. Quote Link to comment
