ChocoMission Sent - yep - double wrapped in duct tape, I know dogs LOVE chocolate and I am afraid that the customs dog might just have to have a taste  Also, since I love Snickers but ALSO would do almost anything for Lindt Truffles, I had to send both. well both of my packets have gone 1 is only going about 500 miles so should be there soon, the other about 11,400 miles so knowing the british postal system it'll probably be even quicker!!! takes 5 days to the US and 9 days to get to my next door neighbour!!!!

One of the other vagaries of the british system is that if you send a small packet with a letter in it then you pay a lot more than if you just send the packet - so guess what, I didn't include any letters - sorry

How are they going to know you added a note inside the package? :)

Surprisingly, air mail was $6.50 vs $5.40 for surface mail (6 - 8 weeks), so of course I opted for air mail. This one has a long ways to go and I was afriad the chocolate white turn all white if it went via snail, turtle, dog sled or whatever it is that would take 6 - 8 weeks!

When people ask me the question, which they always do, I like to tell the truth - old fashioned maybe but hey that is the way I am

ChocoMission Sent- not yet, probably today, have to go shopping :D

ChocoMission Received- No

We have this system with the letter in the mailer, too, but we must not seal the mailer when we don't include a letter, so that everyone in the postal system can check that there are only goods (and maybe an invoice) inside. I don't send a coin in a mailer that is not properly sealed, so this cheaper option rules out for me :P (I am not even sure if it is available for international mailings at all)

I was wondering about the open international package i received (from someone else) !

Everything was inside though :D But yeah, I'd be afraid of things getting lost!!!

I wonder why that is, that a letter costs more?
