I've been most of the way up (years ago) and recall it's a good distance (22 miles RT). We ended up in a freak blizzard which dropped enough snow to collapse most of the parties tents. Everyone ended up with hypothermia so we had to turn around. That was Aug 15, 1976 and I've always wanted to return and show that hill who's boss.
