+Zac Young
Well, I just got a GPS for my birthday acually and am wondering if it's good in your opinions. It's a Garmin eTrex Legend, hooks up to the computer with a USB, I believe it was about 150$ ish. What do you think? Quote Link to comment
Neos2
We found out first few hundred with Legends. We liked them a lot and only upgraded because we wanted autorouting. We kept out old units and lend them to guests who cache with us or friends who want to try caching on their own. They are great starter gps units. I got Legends to use in my science classroom because they are tough, reliable, and easy to use (so easy to show students how to use). I hope you enjoy your new gps and find many caches with it. I cached for several years with only the original yellow eTrex. I just purchased a Legend HCx for my birthday. It will do the auto routing, just doesn't have the compass or barometric altimeter, which I do not need. Now I just have to save the bucks and get the maps. Quote Link to comment
+Prime Suspect
A good unit, but for the same price, you could have gotten the Venture HC, with color screen and high sensitivity receiver. And for about $60 more, you could have gotten the Legend HCx, with color screen, high sensitivity receiver, auto-routing and expandable memory. Quote Link to comment
+Zac Young
Some good reviews. That makes me feel comfortable. What is autorooting? I might consider a newer one when I find a lot, but for now it's doing the job. Quote Link to comment
