What is the right way to change a DNF log to a Found log ?

Hopefully a very basic question for most of you.

 

If I search for a cache, don't find it in the first attempt, log a DNF, then later go back and find it, what is the correct way to log this find ?

 

1) Should I keep the existing DNF log and just log a second time with "Found" ?

 

-or-

 

2) Should I edit the existing DNF log to change the status to "Found" ?

Please log a new Found it! log. Editing your old DNF to a find creates no notification. Neither the owner nor any watchers will notice that the cache has been found unless they happen to scroll back through the logs to yours and notice that it's changed.

If you "Edit" your DNF, the cache owner doesn't get an email letting them know of the change.

 

The cache owner does get an email when you log your new "Found it" and they will appreciate receiving that note.
