Colorado 300 - POIs with TEXT

I have failed to get the POIs to show with their TEXT name.

Other posters are posting screenshots and their POIs have Text.

I am using CityNavigator Europe v9 [2007] and have tried Metroguide v9.

Neither the Garmin in-built POIs or the Speed camera database I have added, have TEXT on screen UNLESS I select each one individually!

Help please, if one Colorado 300 can do it, why can't I?

Have you tried changing the zoom levels and text sizes for Map Points to see if this changes the behavior?

 

Shortcuts->Setup->Map->Options->Advanced->Waypoints->Zoom Levels or Text Sizes->Map Points

One further click onto "Zoom Levels" and or "Text Size" and you can change the Zoom Levels and/or Text sizes for Waypoints, Streetnames, etc.

Outdoor temperate is available as a data field on either the Compass or Map page.

Maybe it is the map he is using.

I think what you see with Tomas4x4 is within the map as Red90 said. My custom POIs will display the text label on my 300 when passing the pointer over them.

His post after the one with the images explain his settings. If you use the same map he's using and the same settings and it doesn't work for you then it's some type of issue with your unit or your firmware.

You might need to enable POIs, go to Setup, Map, Select Options, Advanced and make sure that you have Zoom Levels and Text Size set up properly: in my case I have Map Points set to 2km (Auto should work too) and Text Size set to Small.

 

I have latest firmware but this feature actually worked with older versions too.
