SidAndBob
SidAndBob and The Flying Boots proudly present the first Wye Valley and Forest of Dean Camping Event. So whether you've been to the Mega Event the weekend before and you can't get enough of geocaching events, or if Harrogate is too far for you to travel and you feel you're missing out, then this is the event for you. We look forward to seeing you all there. Quote Link to comment

PopUpPirate
Wouldn't harm to post a note on the Mega listing I guess, seeing as it's on more watchlists than there are peeps who read the forums! Quote Link to comment
The Flying Boots
Only a few more days to go now The weather forecast at the moment is not brilliant so some people might like to spend their time down a nice dry tunnel Quote Link to comment
SidAndBob
Don't forget to bring boots and good torches. There are several caches that require them. Quote Link to comment

Eclectic Penguin
Campsite full. Serves me right for leaving it to the last minute I suppose. I may come as a day visitor - depends on the weather and other commitments. Quote Link to comment
SidAndBob
Thanks to all the brave geocachers who attended / are still in attendance despite the appaulling rain today. I never cease to be amazed at the commitment and high spirits from you nutters. As EP says, the campsite is full (mostly with geocachers), but the weather is forecast to be much better for tomorrow, so hopefully we'll see even more day visitors then. Happy caching, Pete Quote Link to comment
Von-Horst
We had a great time and enjoyed the chance to put more faces to names! Unfortunately we had to leave early as Helen was taken ill (which given how hard the rain came down in the afternoon might have been a bit of a blessing )... Hope today's weather is better for all those who camped it up and that noone's tents floated away in the night... Many thanks to SidandBob and the Flying Boots for all their hard work - we're looking forward to the next one! Mike (who's been stuck in work since 6AM and is getting a little bored!) +wheelybarrow
For anyone who did not manage to attend you missed a cracking good weekend with loads of quality caches and a few spots of rain Everyones tents managed to remain in situ apart from a non cacher whose tent appeared to have got turned around which confused him no end when he came back in the dark on Sunday evening. Had the nerve to accuse the six remaining cachers too! Quote Link to comment

Had the nerve to accuse the six remaining cachers too! Would that be the owner of the red pop up tent? Last i saw he had only pegged the guide ropes and not pegged the tent to terra firma at all!! As now a dab hand at folding these pop ups i would've loved to see him packing it away!! Quote Link to comment

PopUpPirate
Great event and a fab area for caching, you'll need a bigger site next time if word spreads around Nice touch having the EVENT TENT and thanks for the new caches and the warm welcomes. The start of a fab holiday for us, and a pleasure to meet the event setters and all the other peeps! 2009? Quote Link to comment
The Cache Hoppers
Great event, however I am gutted that PuP didn't wish James and the Giant Dunnie a fond farewell via the megaphone as we left site. Quote Link to comment
