+NYPaddleCacher
My official title is "Programmer Analyst Specialist". My unofficial title is "Programmer/Analyst/Technology Strategist". I work for the Agriculture and Life Sciences library at Cornell University. As a technology strategist I research and evaluate new software technologies for potential use by our department. I have a couple of niches in which I work as a Programmer/Analyst. I do quite a bit of work in the open source community for higher education (primarily with an organization called JA-SIG) and I also develop web applications for the Agriculture and primarily the International Agriculture area. It is that role that I have been able to do a bit of travel and seek caches far from home, including a recent trip to South Africa and Zambia. I am undertaking a new project that will could likely result in future trips to Africa. Quote Link to comment
