+Team Leirplass Posted March 10, 2008 Share Posted March 10, 2008 I've got several Garmin Rino units, and my youth group kids get a bit rough on them sometimes, just wondering if anyone has any ideas on what will take the scratches out of the screen? If yours are not to scratched up yet, installing this protection shield will prevent them from getting worse. redout Posted March 11, 2008 Share Posted March 11, 2008 water, 2800 grit sand paper, buff, wax, proctect.. if your a tool guy. If not try Colgate toothpaste and a wash cloth. We use this alot (toothpaste) for eye protection when it gets strached up in the field. Works great and tastes great too Quote Link to comment
wahilde Posted March 21, 2008 Share Posted March 21, 2008 I waited until I had a bad scratch on my Vista Cx before putting an Invisible-shield on it. I didn't expect it to do anything other than prevent future scratches, but to my total surprise I could not even find the scratch after putting the shield on it. I knew exactly where the scratch was and even looked with a magnifying glass to find it, but I could not see it anymore. Maybe it wasn't a very bad scratch (looked bad to me though), but it sure bugged the crap out of me until the shield went on. Quote Link to comment

Probably won't work for every scratch, it all depends on how the light refracts and interacts with the panel that is put on top. Every scratch is different Quote Link to comment
