OK, in theory it could be done, but I believe it would take a 2 part solution.

 

Part one would be an application to interface the GPSr part of the PDA with the data port.

 

Part 2 would be to build a windows driver, to convert the data stream into NMEA readable by all your PC programs.

 

All this is doable in theory, but I'm not sure there is a market to convince a programmer to do it!

So what are the settings, I can't see any NMEA data streaming down my USB cable whatever settings I make on my PDA. Also, to function with 3rd party apps on your PC you would be required to specify what port to use; be that a COM port or USB pseudo port.

Sorry I have done it but not over a cable, I have set up a bluetooth to bluetooth PPC GPSGate to PC GPSGate, but cable looks harder as I see it
