Whereigo and ipaq rx1955

Recommended Posts

I have an ipaq rx1955 which I connect to my garmin 60csx via a special serial cable. I can get a gps signal when I use other programs such as pocket streets and actually use it to navigate, but not with the the Wherigo program. Otherwise, the program works, no freezing up or anything like that. Anyone have any suggestions regarding settings?

make sure that the Gps is feeding a comm port on your ipaq. The Wherigo app needs to find a valid comm port that is reporting gps nmea sentences. This happens to bluetooth users on windows mobile 5 and 6 devices that use the shared/intermediate gps driver.

Thank you for the software update and the ability to manually configure the comm port settings. I can now receive a signal on my ipaq with the comm port set to com1 and the speed set to 4800.
