Yet another Triton question

To set up the time/date for your area.

Go to the map screen

Hit menu button

Then click VIEW

Then click PROFILES

Click on a profile that you want to use either Hiking/Marine/Geocaching

Click the page button

You'll see Backlight timer, Backlight timer etc.. click down until you see the settings for Time.... Then set them for your area... Note, Triton is such a (profanity removed) that it won't even adjust for daytime savings, you'll have to do it manually every six months....

Also each time you change the batteries or connect to VantagePoint, the time will be all messed up once again until it acquires the satellites.

Hope this helps.

Good luck with your 2000 unit, I hope you got a return policy for it.

I'm glad it's such a simple and straightforward process. I thought I might have to pat my head while rubbing my stomach, something I always found difficult to do.

BTW, with the new firmware it will now adjust for DST.

Thanks!
