+Insp Gadget
Just received a Triton 2000 today. No idea how to set the time. Everytime I turn it on the time is at 1:00pm, then later on changes to 9:00am even though it's about 7pm. I have looked in the options but don;t see this listed. Quote Link to comment
+gpsblake
To set up the time/date for your area. Go to the map screen Hit menu button Then click VIEW Then click PROFILES Click on a profile that you want to use either Hiking/Marine/Geocaching Click the page button You'll see Backlight timer, Backlight timer etc.. click down until you see the settings for Time.... Then set them for your area... Note, Triton is such a (profanity removed) that it won't even adjust for daytime savings, you'll have to do it manually every six months.... Also each time you change the batteries or connect to VantagePoint, the time will be all messed up once again until it acquires the satellites. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2000 unit, I hope you got a return policy for it. Quote Link to comment
+Insp Gadget
I'm glad it's such a simple and straightforward process. I thought I might have to pat my head while rubbing my stomach, something I always found difficult to do. BTW, with the new firmware it will now adjust for DST. Thanks!
