Serial Connection. I have down loaded all drivers that I could find for the Garmin.

But Can not get it to with the GSAK.

The Following settings are on the Garmin

The set up on the GSAK is

GSPr is Garmin

Com Port 5 (as verified by the Device Manager)

Speed of Port is Greyed out and set to 9600.

GFS_Packet_Read: No DLE. Data recieved, but probably not a garmin

[Error] CreateFile on on 'COM5' failed: Access denied.

Garmin: Can't init COM5

Any help would be apprecaited a lot

I have the same exact setup. I had to install the software for the Serial to USB adapter. But I'm assuming that you already did that. Given that once you set up the connection, it will only work in one USB slot, as each slot is mapped to a different COM port. So try each of your USB slots, and you don't need to start the computer with it connected, unless you have a very old operating system.
