+JonInNH1
I am trying to get results for my finds and caches to build findstatgen3. When I run that query I get no results. Why is that? Thanks for your help. Quote Link to comment

Thanks for your help. Are you running the "add to queue"? If not, then this is your problem. P.S. If you want to get good stats, try ItsNotAboutTheNumbers.com Quote Link to comment
+JohnnyVegas
you could be making to many selections when you set it up as an example If you check Caches found by me and also check Caches I have not found, those selections will cancel each other out and the result will be "0" caches Quote Link to comment
+JonInNH1
Are you running the "add to queue"? If not, then this is your problem. I just selected caches that "I have found" and "I own" within an area that has all my finds. I know that add to queue will give me all my finds. I guess I am confused as to why the "I have found" option is there. Quote Link to comment

I'm not sure what the purpose of this is either, but I do know if you click th add to queue, it will give you all of the caches you have found, anywhere in the world. If you just run a query and select caches you have found, then you are restricted to a 500 mile radius. I live in Illinois, but have found caches in New York, If I run a basic query, then I will not get those caches in the search, in turn messing up my stats in a generator. Quote Link to comment

The PQ form could be built in such a way that people cannot make selections that cancel each other out . . . but . . . that hasn't been done. This is the way I fill out one section of the PQ form. Actually, I now also check the "Are not on my Ignore list" as well. I was surprised that I had to do that . . . after putting a cache on my Ignore list I thought it would truly be "Ignored" . . . To get all the caches you have found, the "Add to Queue" button is the one to use since that will return caches you found that are now Archived. You cannot get Archived caches in any other PQ. That selection section is LOGICAL AND, meaning that only caches that meet both "I have found" and "I own" critera will be returned. Unless you've adopted caches (or log your own caches), those two selections will return nothing. Logical ANDs and ORs can be confusing. Logically the desire to get caches I've found and caches I own must be written as an OR statement: Return all caches I've found OR all caches I own. But this can't be done in a PQ. You need to run two PQs - one with the "I own" selection and the special "All Finds" (located at the bottom of the PQ page, where you'll see the "Add to Queue" button). Quote Link to comment
