+fishingdude720
hey i placed a cahce this weekend at Seaside in NJ at Island Beach State Park. I'm trying to get it some attention so someone can go out there and find it because the last one I placed out there sat there for awhile. Its a long hike if you don't have a 4WD truck. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...cf-e722feb1016f Quote Link to comment
+macatac1961
5 miles from the parking lot through the sand? Each way? And you don't know why no-one has tried it yet? The part about having to wade through water in the middle of the winter might have something to do with it also. Good luck. Quote Link to comment
+ThirstyMick
Looks like one I'll have to get to... in the summer No 4WD but from the satellite images, looks like it'd be a great place to come with a kayak. The weather probably has more to do with it not being found than anything else. Quote Link to comment
Guyute1210
Just taking a quick look, it looks like it would be a fun cache, but I would suggest putting suggested parking for both with and w/o a 4x4. That would help. Also, it looks like if you have a kayak, you could put in near the mystery and go directly north, so that may be another place to put in. I know this one would be on my list if we ever took a trip to new jersey...in the summer. Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
Looks like a fun one, but it's a challenge if you don't have a 4x4, so don't expect a quick find. Quote Link to comment
+KidRipley
Cool, more motivation to beach ride the horses! Quote Link to comment
+HaLiJuSaPa
I bet in the late spring/early summer you'll start to get a couple of finders..... Quote Link to comment
+Team Divi Divi
ok my Kayack is put away till it gets warmer. We do love Island Beach State Park so this one will go on our to-do list. Thanks for the cache placement, but still waiting for warmer weather. Quote Link to comment
+fishingdude720
I figures I would have to wait for warmer weather for people to find. At the front gate to IBSP you can gt a kayak map and if you kayak to the area marked little bay it is not far from there. Unless you can also paddle around and get it from the inlet side but I don't suggest it as there are very strong currents and the channel is very close when you paddle around the corner. Also, it is dry if you get the right tides. Quote Link to comment
