+smthng
Probably a stupid n00b question, but I'm gonna kick it out there anyway... What's the difference in Builder between "state" and "status". As far as I can see, there are four flags/values for tasks... Visible, Active, Complete and Correct. The Event actions for a task are "state changes", "status changes" and "correct value changes". I'm assuming the following: "Active" flag change will trigger the "state changes" event. "Complete" flag change will trigger the "status changes" event. "Correct" flag change will trigger the "correct value changes" event. "Visible" flag change will not trigger anything. Are these correct? Nothing I can find really clarifies which of these is which and that's kind of an important thing to know, IMO. Quote Link to comment

But, what you have above is correct. These are what we call the "canned" events for a task. In the builder, when you add a new object such as a zone or task, the object comes with "canned" events that you can use to test variables, execute actions, etc. For Items and characters, you create your own events via the commands. So, if you create an "Open" command for an envelope, then you'll get a "When Open occurs" event. Here are the values: Task State - Active, Inactive Task Status - Incomplete, Complete Correct States - None, Not Correct, Correct Visible/Invisible does not trigger any events. Quote Link to comment
