+Jefox16 Posted February 12, 2008 Share Posted February 12, 2008 i know this gps is for roads and maps but i've sent the cache i'm looking for to this unit and it gives me directions to like normal. BUT once i get there i can't get the coordinates to find the exact locating. There is no way to do off-route navigating with the i3, I don't think. You could try setting it to be vehicle type=pedestrian once you got as close as you can by car, and see what happens. Or stop navigating and nav to the cache again once you're on foot. I would be surprised (and pleased) if either would work the way you (appear to) want. Quote Link to comment

Glenn W Posted February 13, 2008 Share Posted February 13, 2008 The unit does not display the coordinates and cannot be modified to do so. Garmin could address this with a firmware update but it is highly unlikely that they will. Of course you can zoom in the map screen and visually align the "you" arrow with the "cache" icon.
