+Insp Gadget
I bought a Mio 520 some months ago and absolutely loved it. Mine was defective though and I had to return it and thestore had none left. I never got around to getting another one. Anyway, from what I recall, there is no way to download waypoints into the Mio. +geobernd
I just bought a Mio 320 GPS. How do I download waypoints . I previously had a Garmin hand held. Is there a special format i need to use. can anyone help http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=37 is your friend. I use a MIO C210 to get me to the parking area and then my trustworthy 60CS to get me to the cache. A perfect combination for me.... For the mio I use iGO POI Explorer (details on how to do that can be founde at the above link). Takes a bit of tinkering but I can load all waypoints to the mio without problems... +ras_oscar
I haven't gotten it to work, but here is where I am: Downloaded pocket quiery in .LOC format. Used GSAK to convert it to a .KAL file. Backed up the Igo.db file to a CF card, then copied it to my PC. Made a copy for safety. Opened POI explorer, inported Igo.db file, then imported .KAL file. Shows as a POI group in the database. Exported the whole mess back to igo.db and then uploaded it to the Mio using the built in restore command. The group name shows up, but there are no waypoints. When I tried to delete the empty group, got a message CE message box stating that mio had to close. Only solution was to restore the safety database file, then all was well. What tinkering haven't I tried yet? Quote Link to comment
