Has anyoone tried Janvil Plastic light duty Scratch repair/restore system on their GPS unit? They clam it will work on GPS screens, LCD screens, and other clear plastics...has anyone tried it and does it work? I own a Garmin 60CSX with several light scratches on the screen. I am hoping to find a way to clear this up before I put on a new screen protector. Their web site is http://www.janvil.com/plastic_polish.htm

I just used Brasso (avail at walmart etc, its a metal polish) to clean up scratches in my plastic devices, works like a charm!

I had a few light scratches on my 60cs before I put my invisibleshield on it. With the invisibleshield on it they were no longer noticeable. I know I'm not the first to notice this. If the scratches are minor I would just throw on the screen protector first and see what that looks like.

When I ordered my Vista Hcx I ordered an invisible shield screen protector at the same time. The GPS came in less than a week and the screen protector took 4 weeks. Before getting the screen protector, I managed to put quite a bad scratch on the screen  but the screen protector has made it invisible. I was quite amazed because it was a deep scratch and although I had heard that an invisible shield screen protector can cover scratches, I didn't think it would hide one that bad!
