+JohnnyVegas Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Is there a way *easily* to remove any unlock codes from maps loaded into Mapsource? You could call Garmin and pay for the unlock code Quote
Anziano Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 The simple answer is "no". What's the complicated answer? Quote
xxgg Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 can you not delete the keyfile from under the menu 'utilities'... Map unlock? You can view the lists of map(s) you have unlocked/Installed... and you can delete any one of those. I haven't done it myself but I am guessing that would disable the map being unlocked in mapsource. ? No? Quote

gallet Posted January 22, 2008 Author Posted January 22, 2008 @QuigleyJones Thanks, looks like the 'complicated answer' will work. Go through "utilities - unlock maps", View my installed unlock codes, then properties and click delete. I'm on a mac and I can't get to the Windows pc where I do my map stuff right now. Is 'utilities' a menu item that is visible when Mapsource is open? Quote

gallet Posted January 23, 2008 Author Posted January 23, 2008 (edited) @QuigleyJones Why do you want to delete it? I had a problem with BlueChart where I had two codes for different but overlapping areas and when both codes were loaded at the same time it was impossible to know which segments belonged to which code.
