+tollerdudes
I am currently using GPXView and it seems to be quite good but I keep hearing about Cachemate. Why do people like it? Whats the difference? Oh and I have a hp iPAQ Pocket PC h2210 for what thats worth. Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand
Not much difference at all on the PPC. But over on the Palm platform - cachemate is about the only choice that has the functionality of GPXview. Quote Link to comment
+Maeglin
GPXView: - Displays information from GPX files - Sorts by distance from any point (manual entry) - Exports to Pocket Streets pushpin files CacheMate: - Displays information from GPX files - Sorts by distance from any point (manual or GPS entry) - Exports to Pocket Streets, TomTom, MapTech, PocketMap Navigator, etc. - List filtering - GPS navigation support - Waypoint transfer to Garmin/Magellan GPS receivers - Full-text searching - Log notes entry (written and voice) - Spoiler sync integration - Waypoint projection - Travel bug management - Linking of GC.com parent/child waypoints Nope, no difference at all... +Chuy!
GPXSonar has similar features as Cachemate, but the developer seems to have put his webpage on idle. I had been using it and liked it alot, but it don't work on my new work PDA with Mobile 6. Had to use GPXView and like it so far. It's a no-frills software and works faster than GPXSonar. But, now that I'm using POIs on my GPS, I rarely have to even touch the PDA - for caching that is. Quote Link to comment
