+Evil Chicken
One of SJG's coordinators received the following email & we thought we'd pass it along: The DEP Division of Fish and Wildlife is looking for input from the public on how to improve New Jersey's Wildlife Management Area (WMA) system. Please consider passing this information on to the members of SJG if you think it would be useful. Completing the survey would be a good way to let DEP management know there is a constituency for geocaching. You can find the survey at: http://www.njfishandwildlife.com/wmasurvey08.htm For additional information on New Jersey's Wildlife Management Area System, please visit http://www.njfishandwildlife.com/wmas.htm Cheers, Andrea Friedman Edited January 20, 2008 by Evil Chicken Quote Link to comment

+MountainRacer
Done. It always helps to get the authorities better acquainted with caching. Quote Link to comment
+Peconic Bay Sailors
Just remember... these are NOT Wildlife Refuge Areas... They are Wildlife Management Areas... Therefore, beware during Hunting Seasons... Quote Link to comment
+cerberus1
I always get a little leery of these things. I'm not comfortable blindly submitting information to "someone" in an agency who may have an agenda. You're assuming geocaching will be looked on favorably ? Remember Nat'l. Park Srvc. areas - HIKING is looked on as an okay activity, but caching... If the cache owner didn't get permission to place, the "powers that be" now know it's there... By the WMA (#), somewhere.
