+reply
Is it possible to point from Finnish "View Cache details" page here: http://www.retkikartta.fi ? Maps are very high detailed and service is very easy to use ( if you can speak Finnish ) Link to comment
OpinioNate
Can you give an example of how to format the URL for a specific set of coordinates? Will be difficult for the developers on staff who cannot speak Finnish. Link to comment
+stepshep
Can you give an example of how to format the URL for a specific set of coordinates? Will be difficult for the developers on staff who cannot speak Finnish. From what I've experimented with you can't format a URL to the coordinates. On the left under "Koordinaattihaku" you can check WGS84 and type in the coords, but I can't find anywhere where a coord-specific URL is involved. It seems to do it all from that one page. Hope there's something besides what I've found. Link to comment
LQ
Can you give an example of how to format the URL for a specific set of coordinates? Will be difficult for the developers on staff who cannot speak Finnish. Unfortunately this map service doesn't support linking to spesific coordinates ...yet. I'll guess we have to ask the developers at Retkikartta to provide this first. Sorry if I use this thread for a slightly different subject. Thanks for providing links to Karttapaikka and Eniro maps for Finnish (including Aland Islands, GC country_id=272) caches. (For some reason this is not the case for additional waypoints???) The Eniro maps are quite useful for urban caches. Their website has been modified since the inroduction of these links, so the last part of the url is now redundant. This is how the url on gc.com looks now http://kartat.eniro.fi/query?what=map&mapstate=7%3B24.93877%3B60.16775%3B1&symbols=bullseye%3B24.93877%3B60.16775 It could be reduced to this: http://kartat.eniro.fi/query?what=map&mapstate=7%3B24.93877%3B60.16775 or maybe even better, this: http://kartat.eniro.fi/query?what=map&mapstate=8%3B24.93877%3B60.16775 An almost identical url setup could be used for Swedish caches as well. Only the web site is different. http://kartor.eniro.se/query?what=map&mapstate=8%3B18.06833%3B59.32833 Edited January 17, 2008 by lq Link to comment
+reply
This is how member named pailakka has solved it: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/20479. I don't know how it works, but he says it works only with Firefox. Link to comment
