Vista HCx - Geocache points in Waypoint list?

I downloaded a bunch of geocache points from Garmin recently. They are listed in both my Waypoints and Geocache.

 

Having them in my Waypoints list is frustrating. They don't belong there. Deleting it from my Waypoint list also removes it from the Geocache list.

 

Is there a way show them only in the Geocache list?

Since a Geocache is also a Waypoint, it will show in both lists. There isn't any way to change that. I usually only look in the Geocache location to find the Geocaches. I usually only have to look in Waypoints if I have accidentally marked one as Found before I actually Found it . . .

I've done that. I usually just change the icon from the open treasure chest back to the closed treasure chest.

I have the same Etrex. Is adding a waypoint how you add a cache?

They are waypoints first and geocaches second (and only by virtue of their icon). They belong there.
